Poems for the Week of 4/20

Friends,

I feel we've just scratched the surface with Marianne Moore, and her two greatest poems are long poems. So, if you'll indulge me! Here is the reading for the week. It's just two quite long poems, "An Octopus" and "Marriage"--both partly, even chiefly, quotations. They are hard, but you know how to read Moore now.

The poems will be emailed to you in a document I found online. This random PDF has some big errors but the texts of these two poems are accurate.

Look for an email this morning with this PDF document, and also a link to a documentary about Moore I'd like you to watch.

Many thanks,

Dan
